Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is a luscious, elegant red wine made from the Montepulciano variety in the region of Abruzzo on the Adriatic Coast of Italy. Though often confused with Vino Nobile d’ Montepulciano made from the Sangiovese grape variety, Montepulciano is distinct and alluring on its own.
Barone d’Valtore Montepulciano d’Abruzzo offers wonderful spice and black fruit aromas on the open. The flavors pop with layers of black plum, cherry, and blackberry with soft herbal notes of fresh mint, sagebrush, and thyme. Balanced and delicious, with warm spice notes dancing on the palate’s lingering finish. A perfect any-time-of-the-week wine, pairing with grilled meats, pizza, or pasta. #cheers
Excellent choice here. I firmly believe that any wine that says “Montepulciano d’Abruzzo” on the label is a very good wine.
