I have written before about our love for the non-profit organization Executives In Action (EIA) started by our friends Chris and Ashlee Kleinert in 2009, partnering with Entrepreneurs for North Texas (EFNT) and the Center for Nonprofit Management (CNM), with the goal to help bring out of work executives, many due to downsizing and such that occurred with the financial crisis our country was facing, together with non-profit, charitable organizations to work on various projects, advancing the work that non-profit does while keeping these executives at the top of their game, donating their time to helping others.  Today the organization continues to see great success with their efforts, currently partnering with over 200 non-profit organizations throughout North Texas on various projects.

argoTo ensure they can continue with their mission EIA is hosting a their Second Annual “Business Smarts, Caring Hearts Book and Breakfast” on November 14 with New York Times best selling author, former CIA agent and central character, played by Ben Affleck, in the film “ARGO,Tony Mendez.

The breakfast will take place at The Dallas Country Club starting at 7:15am.  Sponsorships and information available here. This is a great opportunity to hear Mr. Mendez speak on his life in the Central Intelligence Agency and how the situation around ARGO changed his life.  His wife Jonna, also a former CIA agent, will attend as well.   Gary and I will be there too, as Gary will be leading the discussion with Mr. Mendez for the event.

  1. What a great event and, what a terrific guest speaker. One I am truly sorry I cannot attend, but, how can it miss. It has you, Gary, Tony, and even Mrs Mendez. I am sure it will be another successful celebration.
