Wine of the Day: Domaine Wachau Gruner Veltliner

We all love our favorite white wines made from highly popular international varieties like Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay. But, there is a whole slew of delicious options from every nock and cranny of the world, including cool-climate options racy with freshness and acidity from Austria.

Domaine Wachau is celebrated for their mineral intense wines from steep, terraced vineyards dotted along the Danube River. Domaine Wachau Federspeil Gruner Veltliner ($20) showcases this earthy minerality with an incredible sense of place delivering a complex yet vibrant white wine with character. Bright and clean, the wine layers sun-drenched citrus with peppery spice and wet stone.
