Wine of the Day: Turnbull Oakville Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

For over forty years Turnbull Wines has been celebrating the terroir of Oakville, highlighting the earthy graphite and crushed stone elements that volcanic and alluvial soils give to their concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon fruit. Turnbull Oakville Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon ($85) is the signature of the winery, showcasing a barrel selection of premium estate fruit throughout the eastern part of the AVA filled with these mineral-rich volcanic soils. With dense texture, blending rustic tannins with freshness, the wine is balanced and concentrated, revealing black and blue fruits like blueberry, blackberry, and black cherry, melding with licorice, pencil lead, toasted spice, and cedar.
