From the Sonoma Coast, enjoying a maritime influence from the Pacific, Sonoma’s Crossbarn Winery crafts a vibrant, lush, cool-climate Pinot Noir with personality. Hand-harvested fruit is 100% whole cluster fermented using only native yeasts, giving the wine energy, beautiful texture, and a well-rounded mouth feel. A limited amount of aging on the lees in a majority of neutral oak allows the fruit-forward character of the wine to shine while enhancing that wonderful mouth feel.
The flavors are fresh with layers of berry, including raspberry, boysenberry, and blackberry, coating the palate, melding with woody herb, rose, and lilac. This is a delicious wine to enjoy with any summer fare as it is not too heavy or overpowering, with very soft, balanced tannin and lovely acidity. It will easily meld with summer salads, grilled fish or chicken, or even spicy Italian sausage or earthy mushroom risotto.
