It’s National White Wine Day! Raise a Glass!

I love very few holidays more than a wine holiday, and this month serves up plenty of national days to toast. This includes today’s flavor-packed celebration.

There is no better way to start the weekend than by celebrating National White Wine Day! Raise a glass with one of these beauties tonight or anytime this season. #Cheers

Ram’s Gate Winery is known for its elevated, elegant Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines. However, that’s not all this luxury brand makes, as the talented team also crafts luscious Pinot Blanc, vibrant bubbly and Rose wines, and a delicious, lively, slightly creamy Sauvignon Blanc. The Carneros Sauvignon Blanc ages for six months in a combination of new and neutral French oak and stainless steel barrels, giving the passionfruit and tropical lychee-filled wine a layer of lemon custard and fresh cream, with a touch of briny, mineral-rich salinity. It is a beautiful wine to enjoy this summer.

From Northern California’s rugged, rustic region of Anderson Valley, FEL Chardonnay is juicy, bright, and fresh. The 100% barrel-fermented wine layers fruit flavors of white peach, melon, and crisp apple with crushed stone, pomelo, and soft green herbs to create an enticing wine with structure, concentration, and character. The perfect wine to enjoy with roast chicken and lemon risotto.

From the Alentejo region of Portugal, inland from Lisbon, Adega Mayor Reserva DO Comendador Branco blends 70% Antão-Vaz with 20% Viognier and 10% Verdelho to create a well-rounded, complex wine with crisp, lively freshness and a nicely textured palate. Layers of green apple, white peach, nectarine, and juicy citrus linger on the palate, inviting you to enjoy another sip. Pair this beauty with fresh shellfish and seafood.

A blend of Grenache Blanc and Maccabeu come together in the Corbiers region of Languedoc-Rousslin to create Mas Des Caprices Le Blanc de L’oeuf. The winery was started in 2005 by Alsacian chefs who switched their careers to become winemakers. Good wine and well-made food have much in common, as is evident by the balance, elegance, of quality of this white wine. Meaning “egg white” in French, the organic and biodynamically made wine is bright, clean, and zesty with stone fruit, fresh lemon-lime, and crushed stone minerality.

Fort Ross Vineyard Sea Slope Chardonnay highlights the influence of the Pacific Ocean on Sonoma Coast vineyards, creating an expressive wine with incredible freshness, liveliness, and energy while remaining balanced and elegant. Fermented in neutral and stainless steel barrels and going through full malolactic fermentation, the wine is concentrated and rich, with a silky, creamy texture. It has flavors of baked apple, toasted almond, and golden citrus that harmonize with fresh citrus peel, crushed stone, and saline to create an inviting wine to sip and savor.

From vineyards dotted throughout California, Decoy Sauvignon Blanc is an approachable, fresh, everyday expression expertly crafted in the same style of its parent winery, Napa Valley’s Duckhorn. Punchy and bright on the open, with layers of gooseberry and grapefruit that meld into wild herb, lemon-lime, and lilikoi notes. The wine briefly ages in stainless steel to round out the hard edges, giving the finish a bright, clean taste that is ideal with fresh summer salads, fresh fish, and light pasta dishes.
