Calera Jensen Vineyard Pinot Noir ~ Wine of the Day

Sitting at an average elevation of 2200 feet above sea level in the Gavilan Mountains east of Monterey Bay, Calera’s Jensen Vineyard shines as a prime location for growing expressive, elegant, elevated Pinot Noir. Old vines of Pinot Noir deliver a beautifully structured, concentrated wine with texture and character, layering blackberries and blueberries, figs, and black plums with subtle hints of forest floor, wildflowers, and pepper spice.

Though bold, there is also a note of freshness thanks to the whole cluster fermentation that shines through from the start of the wine to the soft, velvety finish. Pair this beauty with roasted poultry, pork, or beef dishes as it has the structure and concentration to handle any type of protein. #Cheers
