Ram’s Gate Pinot Blanc

Pinot Blanc is a variety that thrives in cool climates where its delicate layers of citrus, white flowers, and orchard fruit aromas and flavors. The variety is a mutation of Pinot Noir, another cool climate variety. However, instead of red wine, Pinot Blanc is white. Sonoma County’s Ram’s Gate Winery crafts its elegant Pinot Blanc wine from fruit grown on its Carneros estate.

The winery’s vineyards lie at the entrance to Carneros, where foggy evenings and cooling breezes from the San Pablo Bay ensure the delicate fruit has bright, vibrant freshness with ample acidity. The medium-bodied wine shows luscious layers of apple, pear, and lemon cream with a hint of stone fruit and honeycomb. The palate is rich and well-rounded, creating a wine that is ready to be enjoyed with anything from seared sea scallops to roast chicken to Sunday night movies. #Cheers
