Early Mountain Petit Manseng ~ Wine of the Day

Petit Mansang is a white grape variety with noble origins. It is one of the signature varieties of South West France, namely with a few drops given on the baptism of the future King Henry IV. While it continues to grow in France, Virginia is making the variety its own, particularly with premium options from wineries like Early Mountain Vineyards.

Layering ripe tropical flavors of pineapple and mango with fresh lemon cream, peaches, and apricots, the dry yet beautifully fruity wine is expressive, fresh, and textural. The wine rests on the lees for 14 months after fermentation, adding to its structure and texture, with beeswax and wildflowers on the finish. Pair it with seafood or shellfish, rich pasta dishes, or sushi. #Cheers
