Gary and I went to Napa Valley last week for a weekend of food and wine fun, more on that to come, then I stayed for a few days extra during which I attended the 25th Annual American Harvest Workshop put on by Cakebread Cellars. An amazing few days of food prepared using local ingredients by some of the best chefs in the country and world. Of the 115 chefs who have attended over the past 25 years 50 of them came back to this 25th anniversary to reunite, reminisce, say thank you and enjoy the amazing comradery and festivity this festival brings. And I was a fly on the wall who got to watch all of it unfold around me.

WOW…..a food and wine lovers paradise with easy going chefs checking their egos at the door, really working collaboratively and enjoying Napa Valley in the heart of summer (a good 30 degrees cooler on average than Dallas….)

Darling pic of you and Bruce. Great writing and reading. I also read your piece in D and what a terrific event. I felt I was there. As always, thoroughly entertaining.
