June Jones Foundation Details on our Donation and More Photos!

We were so thrilled to host our third annual wine dinner benefiting The June Jones Foundation earlier this year with Siduri and Novy Family Wines.  As noted, we were able to give June a donation of $11,500 for his foundation….significantly surpassing our donation last year of $7500 and beating our goal of $10,000!  June’s foundation helps charities all over the world, specifically with work for kids, many in Somoa and Hawaii.  However, June wanted to use our donation for work his foundation is doing right here in Dallas, with the organization “Urban You Turn” and it is really turning into something special.

Urban You Turn encapsulates the vision of June Jones, who more than 30 years ago envisioned a time when he could use his role in athletics as a platform to build a mentorship outreach to touch the souls of disenfranchised, inner-city youth who lack sufficient mentors, role models and hope.  Over 1 million American teens will drop out of high school this year.  June hopes this organization, which brings together athletes, coaches, teachers, pastors, families and friends, to mentor the youth of Dallas, giving kids an opportunity to talk, listen and learn why staying in school is so important.  We are thrilled to know that our donation is going to help such a wonderful cause right here in Dallas with the students of our city.  Check the link for more information on the work Urban You Turn does and how you can help too.

And don’t forget, our harvest dinner is October 21 benefiting The Stewpot and Cafe Momentum with Wrath Wines at Parigi.  We have about 15 tickets left and hope you’ll join us for a wonderful night celebrating fall’s bounty!  Tickets here.
