Every year this event continues to get bigger and better, not only is it an incredible opportunity to have some time with our buddy, Coach June Jones of SMU while supporting his fantastic foundation, but you also have a chance to walk away with a terrific auction item! Over the past three years we have given the June Jones Foundation over $25K from proceeds from this dinner and the silent auction, and this year our goal is to hit an individual event total donation of between $13K -$15K, and we need your help to do it!
The dinner will take place at Sevy’s Grill on July 31, starting at 6:30pm, with wines generously provided by Biltmore Winery. We only have a handful of tickets left for sale, available via our website for $100 each.
And, the auction items continue to get better and better as the events progress. We are only able to take cash or checks at the event for auction items – no credit cards, and auction items will be picked up at the end of the event, so please come prepared if you’re interested in making a purchase.
A few items that are new to this year’s auction include:
Large format wine bottles of King Estate Pinot Gris from Willamette Valley, Abeja Cabernet Sauvignon from Walla Walla, WA, Adelsheim Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, and Far Niente Chardonnay from Napa Valley.
Individual wine lots filled with selections from Italy, the Northwest, Napa, and more.
A luxurious overnight stay for two people in the guest suite at Jordan Wine Estate in Alexander Valley, Sonoma, with an exclusive estate tasting of their current release Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as their estate grown olive oil. The high bidder will also receive a bottle of Jordan current release Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon to take home that night in a gorgeous wooden box.
We also have a special piece of movie memorabilia from Gary’s recent film shoot in Vancouver for the upcoming major motion picture, “Words and Pictures” starring Academy Award nominee, Clive Owen and Oscar winner, Juliette Binoche. The high bidder will receive a framed, autograph of the front page of the script by stars Clive Owen and Juliette Binoche, as well as legendary director Fred Schepsi.
And a stunning addition for this year – come to Napa Valley with me and Gary. Gary often says walking around Napa with me is like walking around Ireland with Bono….so let us show you. Over the weekend of January 17-20 we will take you and three guests (ideally two couples) on a Napa Valley adventure filled with luxurious B&B accommodations as a guest of a Napa Valley winery (you can’t rent these rooms….they are exclusive for guests of the winery), barrel tastings with winemakers, lunches and dinners at some of our favorite spots in the Valley, and an exclusive opportunity to make your own wine, bottle it and take it home.
This year we will again have:
A luxurious stay at Domaine Serene Winery in Willamette Valley for 2 (two) nights for 2 (two) couples in their hideaway guest cottage on the estate, with a bottle each of their Evanstad Reserve Chardonnay and Pinot Noir waiting for you upon your arrival and a VIP tour of the Estate followed by a tasting of current releases.
We will also have two VIP festival passes for the 2014 Dallas International Film Festival, taking place in April of 2014. Every film, event, red carpet, and celebrity sighting you and a guest will be a part of for the grand two week celebration of film in Dallas.
Dinner for six in our home….this is one of the favorite items every year, and Gary and I love to host you and your guests for dinner, wine and conversation in our home.
And, we will have the highly sought after field passes to every home SMU football game for the 2013 season. 2 (Two) field passes for every home game, including Texas Tech, Rutgers, Connecticut and UCF.
