One of my favorite winemakers was in town this week so I grabbed the chance to have him join me on The Broadcast to talk wine, passion, France and the art of a perfect glass.
Jean-Charles Boisset, now owner of such brands at Raymond Vineyards in Napa Valley, DeLoach in Russian River and JCB by Jean-Charles Boisset, benefits from his roots, growing up amongst the vineyards of his home in Burgundy with a father who started the family winery in 1961.
And though Jean-Charles and family has achieved much success in his French homeland, he set his sites on the vineyards of California, now with multiple winery properties in their portfolio, all with a dedication to making the most representative, high quality wines from each area, often utlizing very green, sustainable or bio-dynamic methods.
