We had a beautiful evening of food, wine and conversation last month when Dallas Uncorked had the pleasure of welcoming Rene Schlatter, owner of the fantastic Merryvale Winery and Vineyards, to our kick off the holidays dinner at Hibiscus, benefiting the Dallas Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier International.

We are thankful to everyone who joined us, and raise our glasses high to you as you helped us raise over $2000 for the Dames, which will be used in their efforts to provide scholarships to women seeking to advance their education in the culinary fields. I am a Dame, and honored to have been invited to join the invitation only organization, both for the camaraderie I feel working with impressive, distinguished and elevated women in the fields of food, fine beverage and hospitality; but perhaps more importantly for the assistance we give to women looking to further their education in fields we value. We know that if you can help change the life of a woman, it will not only affect her, but everyone around her from her parents, children, families, etc. And education is key.  Thank you to all who joined us for a beautiful evening doing good.
