Wine of the Day: Paraduxx Red Cork Tree Vineyard Red Wine

Malbec

Celebrating the art of the blend, Paraduxx Winery crafts expressive, elegant wines from premium vineyards throughout Napa Valley. Coming from Napa, where Cab is king, these wines are usually dominant in Cabernet Sauvignon, but every now and then, there is an exceptional offering leading with floral, fruity Malbec. Paraduxx Red Cork Vineyard Napa Valley Red Blend ($82) brings 60% Malbec together with Cabernet Sauvignon and a hint of Merlot from one of the coolest parts of Napa Valley. Located just off the Silverado Trail, in the southern part of Napa Valley where temperatures are inherently cooler than other parts of the region, allowing maintenance of freshness in robust, rustic fruit, particularly in Malbec and Merlot, two varieties that shine in cooler climates. The wine is bright, with Morelo cherry, raspberry, and plum notes, with a savory, herbaceous note that makes the wine an ideal option for pairing with anything from beef to game to hearty pasta dishes.
