The flagship white wine for Napa Valley’s Flora Springs Winery, Soliloquy is named for the proprietary clone of Sauvignon Blanc the family worked for years to save from potential extinction. Delicate, distinct, and delicious, the Soliloquy clone highlights a bold, round, lush texture, enhanced with lees stirring while the fruit is fermenting and aging. The wine, Soliloquy White Wine ($50) blends the crisp, multi-dimensional clone with complimentary varieties, like rich Chardonnay, crisp Malvasia, and fruity Pinot Gris, creating a layered, highly aromatic wine with character. The open highlights orange blossom and lemon leaf, followed by stone fruit, honeydew, Meyer lemon, and passion fruit. Consistently, this is one of my favorite Sauvignon Blanc based wines from Napa Valley. #cheers
