I was musing over a glass last night with my sweetheart, Gary, and sweet Yodaman, and had a wonderful reality come over me regarding the juice in our glasses. The beauty of wine is that we share it. You don’t share a pint of beer, you don’t pass your shot of whiskey, or tour margarita. Wine, inherently, is meant to be shared. Wine is meant to be enjoyed together, over a meal, over a conversation, over an evening.
And yes, if you are by yourself, but home with your dog, give him some water, keep the bottle to yourself, and know you are still sharing an experience.
I know we are all looking forward to the time that we can gather and share again. But, don’t rush the process, it will make it that much sweeter when it comes safely.
As you are home now with your family loves, open a great bottle and share it tonight. This little Italian number from Sicily is sure to please. #Cheers #StaySafeStayHome
Tasca d’Almerita Grillo Cavallo delle Fate ($18) highlights a variety typically used in the production of Marsala, but Tasca d’Alerita highlights the variety as it’s own still wine with a crisp, very dry, mineral intense selection that is ideal with shellfish. From clay and sand filled, Tenuta Regaleali soils, the citrus blossom, white peach, and nectarine filled wine has a delicious freshness, with bright acidity, finishing with an earthy, mineral flavor.
