Wine of the Day: Willamette Valley Vineyards Estate Pinot Noir

Started in 1983 by Jim Bernau with the hope to make high quality Pinot Noir in a still up and coming wine area, but one that was beginning to see incredible success with the variety, Willamette Valley Vineyards has fulfilled that goal and then some, crafting terroir driven, varietal driven wines from throughout the region.

The Willamette Valley Vineyards Estate Pinot Noir ($40) blends fruit from three of their estate properties to create a harmonious wine showcasing the region. Fresh and bright, the wine reveals wild strawberry, red raspberry, and pomegranate with touches of violets and rose on the open, finishing with a spicy, herbal  note. Tasty and delicious, the selection is ideal paired with grilled salmon or pork tenderloin. #cheers
