Decoy Limited Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

Since Dan and Margaret Duckhorn began their Decoy Wines in 1985 the winery has been producing quality wines at approachable prices with Duckhorn style. Their “Limited” series showcases their long history in Napa Valley and Sonoma, from fruit grown throughout both regions including many Duckhorn vineyards.

Decoy “Limited” Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ($30) blends fruit from Russian River Valley, Petaluma Gap, and Carneros, capturing the essence of all in their aromatic, juicy, fresh wine. With balanced acidity, from fruit grown in ideal cool-climate conditions in each region, melding with ripe fruit-forward flavors of green apple, lemon zest, golden peach, and juicy tangerine, creating a harmonious wine with character. Produced from 50% Stainless Steel Fermentation, 50% Barrel Fermentation in partially new French oak, with partial malolactic fermentation, giving a creamy core to the fresh wine, enhancing the overall profile and lending notes of vanilla, toasted hazelnut, and spice. A perfect pairing for roast chicken or butter-poached lobster, or simply on its own. #cheers
