Allowing the essence of the fruit and the place to shine through, Fel Anderson Valley Chardonnay ($34) is crafted without the use of new oak or taking the wine through malolactic fermentation, delivering crisp freshness and boundless energy in each sip. There is beautiful texture in the wine though, thanks to 10 months of aging sur lie (on the lees/yeasts) giving a nice creaminess to the vibrant wine. Focused and crisp, layering ripe apple, Asian pear, golden citrus, and peach. Balanced and bright, an easy to enjoy wine any night, especially with creamy brie or camembert cheese to counter-balance the acidity in the wine, or sushi, shellfish, or poached white fish.
