Dutcher Crossing Cut Root Vineyard Pinot Noir

The 2018 Cut Root Vineyard Pinot Noir ($56) is brand new to the Dutcher Crossing portfolio and we couldn’t be happier, because it is delicious! Though the Russian River Valley vineyard is still young, just planted in 2015, the vines are showing great promise delivering the character the of Russian River with youthful excitement. Crafted from a mix of clones including 667, Calera, and 23, fermented using native yeast, and aged 15 months in partially new French oak, the wine displays the flavors of Green Valley, red berry, cola, black tea, and pepper, with floral aromas of lilac and violet. The wine was bottled in January 2020 and held for release until just recently, ensuring the wine is ready to be enjoyed now, especially with roasted salmon or white meats, charcuterie, aged parmesan or gouda. #Cheers
