As we anticipate holiday festivities, now is the time to decide what bubbles you will be popping during Christmas celebrations and to welcome the new year. One of the best we have enjoyed lately comes from Frank Family Vineyards.

The winery’s Lewis Vineyard in cool Carneros grows gorgeous orchard and stone fruit-filled Chardonnay for the winery’s five-year-aged vintage Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine. The morning fog settles into the vineyards keeping fruit fresh and vibrant, giving way to blustery breezes that blow through the region’s rolling hills in the afternoon, keeping fruit healthy, producing fruit with acidity, fruity flavor, and bright character.

With lovely structure and balance, the sparkler highlights its extensive aging revealing a creamy texture with toasty brioche and fresh biscuit flavors, which melds with ripe apple, Meyer lemon, and honey. The wine is delicious on its own as an aperitif to begin a celebration, to pair with raw oysters, crab cakes, roasted chicken, and of course, caviar. #Cheers
