The perfect bunch of roses for Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day! We raise our glass to all of the moms of children who walk on two legs or four. And that glass is brimming full of the dry Rosé wines of the season.

The new vintages are just beginning to be released, so we will suggest many more options throughout the summer, but for now, these are the Rosé wines we know mom will love any time of year.

With a vibrant coral pink color, Flora Springs Rosé blends Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, and Vermentino from Napa Valley sustainable vineyards to create a textured wine with character. Layers of wild raspberry and ripe cherry blend with juicy melon for a luscious, wonderfully gastronomic wine, perfect for a warm May day.

Paying homage to the fields of wildflowers found in the springtime in Southern France, Fleurs de Prairie Rosé showcases the freshness of the aromatic floral aromas of the region, leading with lavender, lilac, and honeysuckle, followed by a blend of juicy red berry, tangerine, and golden peach. The Languedoc blend of predominantly Grenache is perfect to enjoy with brunch favorites, like a spinach frittata or crab cake benedict.

Chateau Miraval Rosé from Provence is always a favorite option. Miraval Cotes de Provence Rosé blends Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, and Rolle, the French Vermentino, to create layers of citrus fruit like tangerine and Meyer lemon, with strawberry, and soft herbs, displaying the beauty of the region’s garrigue.

Beronia Rosé blends Garnacha with Tempranillo from the Rioja region of Spain to create a lush, layered, lively wine brimming with personality. With aromas of wild roses, soft herbs, and red cherries and a palate filled with juicy red fruits and ripe melon, perfect with grilled shellfish or vegetables.

Chateau la Rame Rosé from Bordeaux is light and elegant. A blend of half Merlot and half Cabernet Sauvignon, the fruity, floral, refreshing wine with layers of ripe peaches, soft herbs, and ripe watermelon. We love it paired with a Caprese or Nicoise salad.

From Scout & Cellar, a company committed to clean-crafted products, including coffee and wine, Dove Hunt Dog Rosé from California honors the best friend any mom can have. Made predominantly from Grenache, with a touch of Gamay and Syrah, the wine layers ruby red grapefruit and cranberry with watermelon and peach. We love it well chilled on its own, watching the sunset with Yoda.
