Red, White, and Sparkling Rosé for the Weekend

Happy Friday, and welcome to the weekend. Whether you are hosting a gathering with friends or enjoying a cozy Saturday night date night, these delicious wine selections will ensure you have the tastiest weekend ever. #Cheers

A bubbly is good any time. It is perfect for brunch pairings, as an aperitif to begin an evening, or paired with anything from burgers to fried chicken to pasta. We love Bricoleur Isla Brut Rosé for all. The dry sparkling wine from Sonoma blends Pinot Noir with Chardonnay to create a luscious, balanced, refreshing bubbly with personality. The wine opens with ripe raspberry, wild strawberry, and cherry, softly layered with tangerine, honeysuckle, and lemon blossom. There is structure and richness, enhanced by the traditional method of production, giving a note of brioche and marzipan that lingers with a clean mineral note throughout.

In addition to the mouthwatering succulence of the wine, a portion of every bottle sold through the website through October will go to the V Foundation, supporting cancer research. We love a wine that gives back, especially to such an important cause that affects so many.

When we think of the wines of Rioja, our minds automatically go to the food-friendly reds crafted from Tempranillo. And, though we adore those wines, we also love the white wines from the region. Conde Valdemar Rioja Bianco is a refreshing, zesty wine with freshness and approachability. The wine blends predominantly Viura with Malvasía and a hint of Tempranillo Blanco. Viura is the dominant white variety in the region, bringing layers of golden melon, lime leaf, ripe orchard fruit, and soft green herbs. This is the ideal wine to pair with seafood, creamy pasta, or grilled vegetables.

The labels for Chronic Cellars wines are whimsical, but the wines inside the bottle should be taken seriously. They are bold, brawny, and full of character, showcasing quality fruit grown in Paso Robles. Chronic Cellars Purple Paradise Red Blend brings together 70% Zinfandel with 20% Petite Sirah and a touch of Syrah and Grenache. The unlikely marriage creates a wine layering ripe red and black fruits, pepper spice, dried mint, dark chocolate, and licorice. The wine is big, however, it is balanced, bringing tannin and acidity together in harmony. Pair with grilled steaks, brisket, sausages, and barbecued ribs.
