Chappellet Pritchard Hill Cabernet Sauvignon ~ Wine of the Day

Sometimes we taste something that is truly exceptional, displaying elegance, refinement, and most importantly, delicious, delicious taste. The current release for Chappellet Winery’s Pritchard Hill Cabernet Sauvignon is this wine. Of course, Napa Valley is known for producing many fantastic Cabernet Sauvignon wines; it is the variety the region has hung its hat on for over half a decade. However, the 2021 selection from Chappellet displays the terroir of its rocky, high-elevation, hillside vineyard exceptionally well, showing complexity, concentration, and style.

Though the selection is still young, as the age-worthy selection’s tannins were prominent, the wine also displays a softness with a silky texture. The wine’s aromas begin with blackberry and cassis, melding with woody herbs, toasted oak, and mocha. These enticing aromas lead to ripe black fruits, dark chocolate, and warm spice notes, enhanced by 22 months of aging in French oak. Sip and savor this wine slowly, pairing it with grilled steaks, braised meats, or your favorite sweetheart.  #Cheers
