Home From The South African Bush

I didn’t have internet access the last few days of the trip after we left the South African Bush and went to Cape Town, and have just completed a plane ride that included 22 hours of time in the air to get me home….Whew….

Now thinking back on the things we saw and experienced it is difficult to put into words the beauty and majesty the wildlife of the world holds.  Graceful impala, elegant giraffe, mighty elephants, fierce lions, and even raptors that became beautiful in the bright light of sunrise.  Here are some of my favorite shots from our drives.  Kapama was a beautiful place with a gracious staff, and jaw dropping sites to help you reconnect with the earth.

Another pleasant surprise….I do have the opportunity to travel a lot….I haven’t had better service on a plane in years.  The staff for South African Airlines was wonderful.  Within the course of the trip I think I was on 6 or 7 different flights….each one (even on the tiny puddle jumper from the Bush to Johannesburg) was great complete with well chilled South African Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.  Cheers!
