December 14 we hosted one of my favorite Dallas Uncorked events of all time. In the cozy, warm and welcoming setting of Salum Restaurant, with the incredibly talented chef/owner Abraham Salum, we welcomed a sold-out crowd of 60 guests to toast the holidays with tasty bubbles from the Boisset Collection of Wines.

Winery representative, Carla Nichols, gracefully guided friends and guests through a sampling of sparkling wine from Jean Charles Boisset’s extensive collection. Each artfully paired by Chef Abraham. As many events as we have done over the 10 years of Dallas Uncorked, (and every wine dinner I have attended…which is a lot,) I haven’t seen such perfect pairings as what Chef created that often. Each interesting and delicious combination highlighted the aromas, and layer upon layer of flavor in each wine, proving both how perfect sparkling wine is to pair with just about anything from the start of a meal to the end, and how incredibly talented Chef Abraham is. The result, a beautiful night, all to benefit a few charities we believe in so strongly, The Stewpot and the North Texas Food Bank. I just completed our donations and had an extra special bonus occur as donations right now for NTFB are being matched at 100%, making our donation now worth so much more.
Below are some fun photos from the night. We thank everyone who joined us for this celebration, and all of our events throughout the year.
It has been a great 2014, but we are anxious and excited to see what 2015 will bring, including an extra special event where Dallas Uncorked goes to the Movies with my sweet husband, film producer and former film critic, Gary Cogill. Check back in early January for more details. This will be a must attend event!
An elegant, beautiful evening!
