I happen to be married to the most knowledgeable, funny, insightful, witty and handsome movie man in the world….why wouldn’t we do an event together!

On February 8 Dallas Uncorked invites you to raise a toast with us to the Oscars.
Starting at 6pm at Veritas Wine Room, we will host a unique wine and film event featuring film producer, and former WFAA-TV film critic, Gary Cogill leading an interactive discussion of all the films nominated for this year’s Academy Awards.

Additionally, Gary will also share some of his favorite stories of being on the set working with actors like Clive Owen and Morgan Freeman, and intriguing anecdotes of his 24 years as a film critic where he interviewed almost every actor in the world. A great movie and a tasty glass go hand in hand, and no one knows more about movies than Gary.

The night will benefit The Dallas Film Society, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting film, filmmakers and film education through our annual events, the Dallas International Film Festival and The Art of Film; and Cafe Momentum, teaching critical social skills, along with training in the culinary arts, gardening, nutrition and horticulture, to Dallas youth in a safe, real-world environment of nurturing accountability.

Tickets for the night will include a glass of sparkling wine to toast the evening, plus two glasses of specially selected wine at Veritas, light snacks, your Oscar ballot and, of course, a lively discussion of all the movies of the year. Tickets will be sold in advance only, and are available here. We are so excited to have this event as it benefits two charities we support, and brings our mutual love of wine and movies together.
