We’re Toasting: Ruthie’s and Rose

image

It’s cold and rainy, so sipping a chilled Rosé wine may not be the first thing that comes to mind to do today. Unless, you are like me and love a glass of Rosé all year long, enjoying this fresh, juicy and fruit filled wine with anything from holiday ham to roast turkey (stock up now for Thanksgiving.)

Enter our favorite food truck in the country, Ruthie’s Rolling Cafe with their dreamy good, warm and gooey grilled cheese sandwiches. The “Turkey Trot” features smoked turkey, cheddar cheese, bacon (of course,) and their famous slob sauce on sourdough, toasted to buttery perfection and singing of the season.

Pair with your favorite Rosé, like a tangerine and watermelon filled Stoller Family Wines Rosé of Pinot Noir, or (in the spirit of Ruthie,) a pig inspired pour from either Hogwash, the tasty Rosé of Grenache filled with red cherry, berry and cassis from Tuck Beckstoffer, or a new find we enjoyed earlier this year in Languedoc, France, Petit Cochon Bronze from Domaine Rimbert, blending Saint Chinan grown Syrah, Carignan, Cinsault and Mourvedre from slate filled soils of the region to create a berry, melon and steely mineral filled wine. Any are perfect with any poultry or pork dish you can find, especially with the addition of melted cheddar cheese.

Our friends at Ruthie’s Rolling Cafe are in the running for the best grilled cheese truck in America!
And they are leading the pack, but need a few last minute votes to run away with the title! Voting ends today, (and if we just have everyone who enjoyed one of their delicious delights at our 40/60 Centennial celebration vote, they will be sure to win! So let’s start voting friends!)

Vote now here.

Cheers and #incheesewetrust
