A glass of wine and a great movie go hand in hand, we think it is the perfect pairing. And now is the best time of year to enjoy both as theaters are filled with Academy Award contenders, and wineries all over the world have released their latest vintages ready for enjoyment.
Dallas Uncorked wants to help with this enjoyment by throwing our 2nd annual happy hour wine and movie night with major motion picture film producer, long time film critic (now with KXAS-TV/NBC5) Gary Cogill at Veritas Wine Bar on February 21 from 6pm-8pm.
Gary will lead guests on an interactive discussion of what to see, what not to, and mainly, what is sure to win this year’s “Oscar” for all of your favorite film categories, as well as anecdotes from his years interviewing filmmakers, stars and celebrities.
The night will benefit The Dallas Film Society, a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting film, filmmakers and film education through annual events, like the Dallas International Film Festival and The Art of Film, as well as Charity:Water, bringing clean water to those in need around the world.
Each ticket will include two glasses of wine, a sparkling wine toast and light appetizers. Additional wine will be available all night at special happy hour prices. We will also have a limited and exclusive live auction of film focused items to help our donation make that much more of an impact.
This event sold out fast last year so don’t delay in getting your tickets early. Each ticket is $40, in advance/online available here. Must be 21 to attend and, sadly, no refunds.
We look forward to seeing you there.
