Amici in Italian means friends, and we couldn’t think of a better partner for our annual anniversary dinner than the incredible selections from Napa Valley’s Amici Cellars.
Join us on Sunday, May 19 at 6:30 pm at Salum Restaurant for an evening of great food, incredible wines, camaraderie and celebration, all for a few wonderful causes. This year’s event will benefit The Stewpot, helping feed the homeless of Dallas.
We are thrilled to host with our dear friend Abraham Salum, at Salum Restaurant. Working with Abraham is a delight as his far-reaching culinary expertise has given us some of the most delicious meals we’ve had anywhere in the world, always perfectly paired with our featured wines.
Amici was started over 25 years ago by Texas native, John Harris, and dear friends Bob and Celia Shepard. With hard work, passion and dedication to quality they have spent the past two decades creating relationships through handshake deals, sourcing fruit throughout Napa Valley and Sonoma from some of the most prized vineyards in the regions. The evening will feature a selection of their wines including Amici Heintz Vineyard Chardonnay, Amici Napa Valley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, and Amici’s ultra-premium Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. I can’t express my excitement in the quality of these wines. Proprietor John Harris will join us for the evening sharing how the Houston native found his way to Napa.
Our menu for the evening, crafted with inspiration by Chef Abraham Salum includes Ahi Tuna Carpaccio with House-smoked Sea Salt, Crispy Pork Belly with Vanilla Chipotle Vin and Argulua, Grilled Tenderloin with Texas Black Garlic Potatoes and Chocolate Pavlova to end.
