Wine of the Day: Chehalem Rose of Pinot Noir

Happy April! Easter perfect and spring ready, Chehalem Rose of Pinot Noir ($25) sings of sunshine. I am such a fan of Rose wines from Willamette Valley, with this beauty revealing the tell-tale signs of Pinot Noir from the region. Highly aromatic on the open, with violets and roses melding with wild strawberry, watermelon, and citrus. Bright and balanced on the palate, with ripe berry, ruby red grapefruit, and mandarin flavors. Fermented in stainless steel and neutral barrels, along with a bit of aging in tank, barrel, and concrete gives nice weight and texture to the refreshing wine, rounding out the palate and imparting a subtle hint of earthy minerality and spice notes. #Cheers
