Wine of the Day: Trapiche Medalla Malbec

Originally crafted to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Trapiche Vineyards, Trapiche Medalla Malbec celebrates the signature variety of Argentine. From high elevation vineyards in Argentina’s Lujan de Cuyo and Maipu sub-regions within Mendoza Trapiche Medalla Malbec ($27) showcases the floral and fruit notes of the variety creating a pretty wine opening with aromas of violet, woody herb, and red fruits. With freshness melding with a nice richness the medium-bodied wine is highly approachable and easy to enjoy, showing red raspberry, red plum, and black cherry, delicately balanced with sweet spice, toasted vanilla, coffee, and a touch of smoked meat and bacon-fat on the finish. A perfect wine to enjoy with grilled or smoked beef, lamb, or venison. #Cheers
