Crafted in celebration of winery founders, the Schmidheiny family, Cuvaison honors the history and heritage of their Los Carneros estate with their Legacy wines, including Cuvaison ATS Chardonnay ($60). For over 50 years Cuvaison has been dedicated to creating wines that tell the story of the land with the heart being the rolling hillsides of Carneros producing mouthwatering Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with energy and character. Chardonnay was actually the first wine produced by the winery for their inaugural vintage in 1969, so it is only appropriate that the variety is a part of their Legacy series.

Produced from their estate-grown Chardonnay, aged for 16 months in predominantly new French oak, and hand-selected from the best of the best of the barrels, ATS showcases the elegance of Carneros-grown fruit. Rich and lush, yet with a lively undertone of freshness, the wine opens with spring flowers, apple blossom, honey, and white peach notes, followed on the palate with creamy lemon curd, ripe apricot and peach, warm spice, blanched almond, and cream.
