Stoller Family Estate Willamette Valley Chardonnay

Juicy, layered, and inviting, with just a hint of dried apple and pear notes shining through an otherwise citrus-filled palate, Stoller Family Estate Willamette Valley Chardonnay ($35) shines as a lovely example of why Willamette Valley is so ideal for crafting elegant Chardonnay wines with character. Currently selling the 2017 vintage, a little bit older than what we are seeing from other producers in the arena, but the ’17 vintage in Oregon was ideal, producing both quantity and quality, delivering ripe, juicy fruit with great acidity and volume. Crafted sustainably from fruit grown throughout the region, and aged in partially new oak prior to bottling in 2019, the wine melds golden apple, ripe melon, Asian pear, and Meyer lemon with subtle notes of spice, wet stone, and toasted smokiness. Lush and easy, a perfect Sunday afternoon wine to enjoy with brunch or with a roast chicken dinner. #Cheers
