This morning, after three days of ice and snow, we were all about a get away and what better place to get away to than wine country (at least in my book.) Check out our segment noting a few of my favorite spots, with more details and links to each property below. If you need help planning your full get away experience, feel free to reach out, would love to help!
About 30 minutes outside of Austin is Driftwood, TX in the heart of Hill Country and Fall Creek Vineyards, owned by Susan and Ed Auler, is ready to welcome you to their Wine Country Inn at Fall Creek Vineyards. Their 2 bedroom guest house is available for $375 per night, great for a couples get away. This year is the perfect time to visit as well as the winery is celebrating their 40th anniversary, and 42 years since Ed and Susan visited France and fell in love with the great wines of the country. A special place owned by special people.

Willamette Valley is one of our favorite places to visit, and happily, several great wineries have guest homes on property that you can rent at a great price. Red Ridge Farm and Durant Vineyard are nestled on Dundee Hill, one of the prime locations for growing stellar Pinot Noir, which they have been growing for just over 40 years. A handful of years ago they started producing olive oil from trees planted both on the property, as well as bringing in olives from southern parts of the state and California. Key to their process, they bottle weekly instead of bottling everything right after harvest, to ensure that what they sell on a daily, weekly or monthly basis is the freshest it can be. Take the time to do the olive oil tasting and wine tasting, both are a treat and a must if you are staying at the property. Rates start at $275 per night for 1 room for 2 guests available above the tasting room or $375 for the Stoneycrest guest house with 2 bedrooms for four guests.

Kenwood Inn and Spa in Sonoma is one of the most romantic places I have ever stayed in Sonoma is the Kenwood Inn and Spa. No TV to start, fabulously cozy beds with fireplaces welcoming you into serenity. A great spa for relaxing with your sweetie and tasty breakfast to enjoy every morning. A beautiful spot to lay your head after tasting through Sonoma wine country. Rates start at $375.

Escape to Argentina for harvest at the Cavas Wine Lodge in Mendoza, rates start at $700 a night for a 1 bedroom casita (depending on dates.) I have often said there is a magical mystical mood to Mendoza, Argentina and it is fully felt at the Cavas. Set amongst vineyards overlooking the Andes Mountain range with a gourmet restaurant, welcoming spa and pool, and first class accommodations in your private casita on the property. Run by the lovely Cecilia Diaz Chuit and charming Martin Rigal, you will be in the lap of luxury while enjoying the welcoming feel of home. I love this special place and dream of my next opportunity to return. A Relais & Chateaux property nestled about 15 minutes outside the town of Mendoza.
