Wine of the Day: Charles Krug Vintage Selection Cabernet Sauvignon

When the Mondavi family first arrived in Napa Valley in the 1940’s they selected the oldest winery in the region to become the stewards of, Charles Krug. Today, the family continues to uphold the heritage set forth by the generations that came before them, decidedly dedicated to promoting the quality of Cabernet Sauvignon in the region.

Charles Krug 2015 Vintage Selection Cabernet Sauvignon ($125) pays homage to the very first vintage release of the family in 1944, showcasing an almost flawless 2015 vintage in Napa. With 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, and a touch of Petit Verdot to add texture and depth, the Yountville grown estate fruit layers ripe blackberry, blueberry, and cherry with toasted almond, espresso, and mocha notes with beautiful concentration. #wineoftheday #cheers
