We have been in Hawaii just a little over two weeks (with a midweek jaunt to France for me just 4 days after arriving) and have settled in nicely with our farmers market stops, fresh Ahi everywhere and lots of sunshine. Though it has been rainy at home in Dallas, Hawaiian skies have welcomed us with open arms. This has helped us get back to eating very farm and sea to table. Below are a few of our favorite recipes inspired by this harmonious place. Aloha.
Deconstructed Hawaiian Roll Soup
(may sound weird, but to this day, this is one of my absolute favorite dishes)
Macadamia Nut Crusted Scallops with White Wine Beurre Blanc
Farmers Market Fresh Hawaiian Salad
Ahi and Rose….the ideal Hawaiian combo
Watermelon and Heirloom Tomato Salad with Tequila, Cilantro and Lime Vin
Kawamata Farms Roasted Tomato Soup
